The Junior County Championships were held today at Kings Norton GC where an immaculate course and hot sunny weather greeted the players. The Championship was reduced to 27 holes because of the record high temperatures that were forecast.
Our congratulations go to the new Junior County Champion, LILI-ROSE HUNT of Droitwich GC with a score of 110 Gross.
Lili-Rose also won The Byte Shop Trophy with 98.
The 18 Hole Silver Salver was won by ELEANOR DICKEN of Redditch GC with 36 pts.
ROSA MARKS of Gaudet Luce GC scored 38 gross to win the Mary Fisher Rose Bowl on the 9 holes short course.
Well done to all competitors for their fine play in broiling conditions! Well done again to all the County Junior Committee for great organisation and turning out in numbers to help the girls on their golfing journeys.
Thanks also to KNGC for providing the facility in fine condition and looking after all the visitors and to Sheila Mead (Lady Captain) for the warmth of her welcome on behalf of the club and presenting the prize winners.
